Staircare Stair Nosing manufactures stair treads, anti-slip flooring and accessories. The company has been supplying the specialist stair tread market in australia and around the world since 1985.
Over this time we have gained experience in manufacturing and supplying quality engineered products and solutions for small and large quantities. We have tested our products, both in-house and by external professionals so that we can have complete confidence in the products we sell.

Staircare stair treads are suitable to reduce slip hazard on stairs and promote the safety of persons in the event of fire in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979-Section 121B – Provision for Fire Safety. (Slip resistance tests are available for all our stair nosings).
Our range of anti-slip stair treads include models that are compliant with Australian standard AS1428 design for access and mobility. Contact us for more information and specific model names.

Yes, all Staircare stair tread nosing inserts have been wet and dry tested and passed with either Class: P4 or P5 Slip Resistance. Test Reports are available on request.
Whilst, we recommend to glue and screw stair nosings in certain situations, using quality adhesive glue can be an acceptable alternative. It is important that stairs are closed for at least 24 hours to let the glue properly cure. We also recommend that you check with the adhesive supplier suitability for this application.
We recommend to glue and screw using Polyurethane based glue. Not only will this help adherents’ but it also stops “chatter” of the stair nose once the screws start to relax.
Staircare “punches” fixing holes into the aluminium base of the nosing creating a “burr” or lip on the underside of the profile. When screwing the stair treads through the carpet into the substrate, the lip will grip into the carpet for excellent hold and stability.
