The exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical spillage, saltwater, fume and fire resistance make Staircare SC-R ideal for use in industry, marine and mining environments.
Staircare SC-R is manufactured with high quality fiberglass reinforced resin suitable for use in the harshest of environments. During the manufacturing process silicon carbide or quartz is incorporated to form an inseparable gritted surface. SC-R products have exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical and petrochemical spillage, saltwater, fume and fire resistance making Staircare SC-R ideal for use in industrial, marine and mining environments.
Staircare SC-R products have achieved the highest slip resistance classification – Class: P5 for wet pendulum test and Class :D1 for dry floor friction testing in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4586:2013 – Slip Resistance Classification of New Pedestrian Surface Materials.
Staircare SC-R materials were fire tested by AWTA Product Testing and the results were “Best Achievable” for critical heat flux and smoke value in Accordance with Australian and International Standard AS/ISO 9239.1 – 2003; reaction to fire tests for floorings, determination of the burning behaviour using a radiant heat source.
For installation on steel, checker plate steps use Tek (self tapping) steel screws. For installation on grated stairs use Staircare universal saddle clip assembly. Staircare SC-R products are supplied cut to size and can be installed on any substrate with minimal effort. Fitting is either with adhesives and/or mechanical fixings and is well within the capabilities of a handy person.
Photo Luminescent Finish Options
Photo luminescent anti-slip stair nosings provide the usual function of step protection in addition to emitting a high intensity glow during power failures and emergency evacuations.
Staircare Australia has developed the correct photo luminescent pigment to carrier ratio to ensure exceptional glow in the dark characteristics, with a tough anti slip finish, suitable for use in the most demanding environments.
Staircare Photo luminescent pigment is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The correct choice of pigment carrier and pigment to carrier ratio ensures bright and long lasting glow. The Staircare pigment carrier offers excellent resistance to salt water and high resistance to chemicals such as; acid, alkali and solvent liquids.
Glow in the dark powder is made from alkaline earth aluminate and silicate which are activated by rare earth element. Its features include; high luminance, long lasting time in luminance and it is weather proof. The product is non toxic, non radioactive and has stable chemical properties.
