Staircare SC8 stair nosing profile with SC-R solid carborundum anti slip insert was specified by Sydney Trains for installation at various train station upgrade programs. The program entailed rejuvenation of stations in all directions including south, north, and west and of course some of the very busy city stations such as Museum, St James, Redfern and Kings Cross.
The SC8 stair tread nosing has been specifically designed to comply with the requirements of AS1428.1:2009 Design for Access and Mobility. The insert is a composite fibreglass reinforced resin with hard wearing silicon carbide anti slip grit. It is also available with PVC or aluminium ripple trim anti slip inserts.
